Biography
Véronique Delvenne is a Belgian contemporary artist based in Brussels.
She has developed her artistic practice over more than two decades, alongside an academic and clinical career as Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB).
Initially working with acrylics and mixed media, she progressively explored a wide range of techniques and materials, with a particular interest in texture and work on paper. Over recent years, ink has become the principal medium of her practice.
Her work has evolved through successive series, including Seasons Variations, Ink Traces, Beneath the Surface, The Quiet Current, Rising, Unfolding, Emergences and, more recently, Heaven Roots.
Delvenne works primarily on paper, from intimate formats to large-scale sheets, as well as with acrylic and mixed media on canvas.
Her work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions and is held in private collections in Belgium and internationally. In 2026, her most recent solo exhibition presented a broad selection of her work and marked an important stage in the development of her artistic practice.
She lives and works in Brussels.
